We recommend using the round bale net with UN SHOD horses ponies and donkeys. We recommend you use a feeding ring if your horses are shod to prevent them catching a shoe in the netting.
The Trickle Net Large Bale Net has a draw string for closure at the open end. It is important that this string is pulled, knotted and tidied away UNDER the bale to prevent any loose string. We recommend you empty the last remains of the bale before the string is revealed.
The vast majority of customers report Trickle Nets lasting for years. Trickle Nets are made to be a tough as possible and damage is rare. If your horse does manage to damage the Trickle Net. Trickle Net will help with a free repair or free fix up twine for damage within six months of purchase.

Jane Roddick –
I tried the others first. They were cheaper. They broke, they didn’t fit and they didn’t do the job. I bought this one thinking if this doesn’t work I’m going to stop using nets on the big bales. Wow! I wish I had found this first. It’s tailored to fit the bale and getting it on is so easy with the rope ring to guide you. It’s strong! Nothing on this net stretches, it’s all very firmly fixed. It works! It absolutely slows them down, but not too much. There is no waste at all. I’m finding the bale lasts twice as long. The ponies are happily munching much longer and I’m thrilled with this product. I can’t recommend it enough. Yes, it’s pricey but if you’re feeding a lot of round bales I can see how this will very quickly pay for itself. I think I’ve saved about £100 in hay so far and I’ve not had it 3 months yet. The ponies look very well too!
